I was born in Singapore. I’m mixed race: with a Malay mother and an Indonesian father. I grew up in a communal house or Pondok. I lived in the UK for 10 years before migrating to Australia 27 years ago, I believe that communication is a fundamental tool for building bridges between people and cultures. I believe it is essential to be able to communicate effectively with people from different parts of the world. I am also an avid reader and enjoy learning about different cultures, traditions, and ways of life. For me, sharing my cultural heritage with others is a way of fostering understanding and respect. I believe that by embracing diversity, we can create a more inclusive and compassionate world, where everyone feels valued and respected.
