Consultation has concluded
A concept plan for Dabchick Park Development has
been prepared by the City. We would like to know what you think.
The park is located Dabchick Close, between Wagtail Lane and Treemartin Place.
This park will form part of a corridor for biodiversity links with the area. This will be achieved through future development of other spaces that connect Dabchick Park to the wider area. The design of Dabchick Park considers water efficiency by:
Hydrozoning – having different, separated grass and shrubs watering zones;
Reducing the grass areas by using stabilised crushed limestone in some parts of the park.
The design also features a large kick-about space, ecological gardens with interpretative signage, a dry stream and a humpy for nature play, a small bike track, a basketball pad and a playground for children, footpaths, BBQ and picnic area, a set of outdoor exercise equipment, and a reflexology path. Subject to Council approval, the park will be developed over the next two years.
To find out more you can also attend the onsite consultation at 515pm.
