SKHKAC Footpath Art along Treasure Road
The Sister Kate’s Home Kids Aboriginal Corporation (SKHKAC) and the City of Canning worked together to produce a (on-Country) design of contemporary art, including wildflowers that symbolises the connection of the Sister Kates Homee Bush Block: a place of healing and the community unity Wall Mural at the Queens Park Reserve – this bringing a focus of connection to Country and the natural world.
The (on-Country) artwork also connects the Queens Park Primary School and its students to this community – an art in public space initiative that reaffirms the connection of young people, their families and the community as a whole; moving forward in unity, strength and reconciliation to a stronger future for the area.
