VOTING HAS NOW CLOSED. STAY TUNED FOR RESULTS

We’re excited to announce that the City of Canning is upgrading another six playgrounds across our community in the 2024-25 financial year! Our playgrounds are more than just spaces to play—they’re where our children’s imaginations come alive, where families connect, and where our neighbourhoods flourish.

We are in our fifth year of our Playground Renewal Program, which has provided much needed upgrades to over 37 playgrounds.

As part of our ongoing efforts to provide quality recreational spaces and in alignment with our Play Provision Strategy, we’re planning to upgrade our playgrounds to provide:

Better shade

A focus on nature and adventure play, and

more inclusive and accessible play spaces

These improvements will ensure that our outdoor play areas are safe, fun, and engaging for children of all ages.

What’s Happening?

In the 2024-25 financial year, we will be focusing on enhancing the following six playgrounds:

Two of the playgrounds (listed below) are situated within dog off-leash areas, so we will be providing one design with and one without dog exclusion fencing. The choice to have a fence is yours!

Playgrounds within dog off-leash areas:

Francis Bird Park, Cannington

Agincourt Park, Willetton
