What’s being shaped?

The City of Canning has been developing a new and ambitious position to address climate change so that together with our community, we can take strong action on climate change and create a thriving, sustainable and climate resilient Canning.

This has previously been referred to as a Climate Change and Energy Transformation Strategy, but we have now reframed this as ‘Climate Ready Canning – Our Vision for a Climate Resilient City’.

Thank you to everyone who completed our online survey and/or participated in community workshops throughout 2023, we would like to express our deep gratitude. Your input has significantly contributed to shaping our Vision.
