Canning Cultural Ambassadors (2021-2024)

Imagine being part of a passionate group of individuals who are making real, lasting change in their communities. Since 2021, the Canning Cultural Ambassador Program has empowered over 40 ambassadors from diverse backgrounds—speaking more than 30 languages—to lead impactful initiatives that strengthen connections across Canning’s multicultural landscape.

Through their leadership, ambassadors have brought over 12,000 community members closer to City services, hosted vibrant cultural festivals, and created programs like driving lessons for migrants and mental health support sessions. The program doesn’t just offer the chance to give back—it’s an opportunity to grow. Ambassadors receive leadership training, networking opportunities, and the platform to influence City projects and services that matter to their communities.
