Play Streets Success!

Six Play Streets were held successfully over Cross Street and Blacksmith Street during October 2022. The Play Streets attracted 120 adults and 155 kids from the Queens Park Neighbourhood. The events demonstrated the generosity of the groups hosting the events, Little Learners Playgroup and Baris Education and Culture, kindness of neighbours, neighbours meeting each other for the first time, children playing on their streets in a safe way for the first time and a huge interest for more Play Streets across the City.

The City is currently investigating ways to create some community friendly avenues of support, where we can create a foundation to encourage further neighbourhood events across the City,
