City of Canning has partnered with RAC to deliver this 'Learn to Ride' Children's Workshop.
Enrol your children to learn how to ride a bike for the first time with this complimentary two-hour workshop suitable for ages 3 and over, delivered by industry experts People on Bicycles.

Mental Health Awareness Week
5 - 12 October is Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW)
Green is the colour of mental health representing hope, strength and support. Celebrate your recovery or help us break stigma by wearing a Mental Health Awareness ribbon this MHAW.
As part of Community Safety Month, free Mental Health Awareness Ribbons will be available for collection at the City’s Civic Building and all library facilities from Friday 4 October.

Community Safety Pop-up - Willetton

The Safe Communities Team will be at Southlands Boulevarde on Monday 7 October promoting the release of the 2024 Community Safety Survey and educating the community on how to remove, report, and prevent graffiti.

World Homeless Day - Launch of the City's new Homelessness Plan.
The 10th of October is is World Homeless Day 🌏
The City acknowledges that homelessness is a complex and escalating challenge that impacts individuals in Canning and across Australia.
The City’s new Homelessness Plan aligns with the State Government’s 10-Year Strategy on Homelessness, "All Paths Lead to a Home," and aims to sustain vital programs, initiatives, and partnerships that provide support to those in need.
The City's new Homelessness Plan will be available from 10 October at canning.wa.gov.au/homelessness

Are you prepared for fire season?
In order to protect our community, City of Canning residents are required to comply with the Annual Fire Hazard Reduction Notice all year round.
Prepare your home and property by removing dry vegetation and fire hazards, share your plan with family members and neighbours, pay attention to your surroundings and look out for each other.
