Successful Community Initiatives Grants

The Community Initiative Grant helps to support sporting, community and cultural groups. These funds help these groups organise initiatives and programs to help develop and support themselves financially, as well as making a positive contribution to our community.

Here are some of groups that had recent successful Community Initiative Grant applications for November 2016:

Canning River Canoe Club - Support towards getting canoe instructors in order to run a 6 month  "Come and Try" program

Riverton Baptist Church - Support to purchase sound equipment to help run "Carols by Sunset" Event on the 11th of December 2016.

Rotary Club of Rossmoyne WA Inc - Support towards holding an Australia Day community event on the 26th January 2017.

Green Skills- Support setting up a wildlife program for people with disabilities.

Willeton Community Garden - Support towards setting up a training program for volunteers and also developing a new website. Grant will assist in the design and printing of new guidelines and information sheets.

Lions Club of Canning - Support for a Free Community Health Fun Day Event - "Healthy Fun Day" on the 25th of March 2017. 

Queens Park Soccer & Social Club - A Community Initiative Grant to establish and promote a girls junior soccer team. Grant will assist in creating a website, purchasing new sporting equipment and promotion.

The Rocks Ministry Inc - Support towards a family friendly “Summer Fiesta” event that caters to all ages during the month of March 2017. 

Wadjup - Gabbilju - Support towards purchasing new maintenance and cleaning equipment to help clean signs along the Shelley- Rossmoyne foreshore. 

Rotary Club of Willetton - Support towards purchasing some event activities for the Willetton Community Fair on the 2nd of April 2017
