We are interested in hearing what you think of the draft Structure Plan for the Canning City Centre.

The vision is to create a re-energised city centre with a community heart that is connected, accessible, vital and resilient.

The Structure Plan is a long term vision for the City Centre to guide public and private investment and will evolve over the years. The City of Canning will work closely with the community, landowners and other partners to begin the revitalisation of the City Centre on both a large and small scale; in the short and long term.

  • Canning City Centre Structure Plan ADOPTED

    The majority of the comments supported and agreed with the vision for the City Centre and looked forward to seeing the changes.

    The Canning City Centre Structure Plan was adopted as a local planning policy by Council, with modifications from the consultation on the 15 October 2013.

    Thank you for your sharing your views. The City is looking forward to working with community, business and other stakeholders to realise the potential of the City Centre and create a City that we can be proud of.

    The comment period for the draft Canning City Centre Structure Plan has closed. The City values the comments that were shared and is carefully considering them in the finalisation of Structure Plan. All the documents are still available to be viewed in the LIBRARY section.

    If you were unable to attend the Canning City Centre Launch event on the 20 June 2013, not to worry, you can view the presentation and video from the night. The launch event was well attended with approximately 100 community members.

    The City of Canning endorsed the release of the draft Canning City Centre Structure Plan at the 28 May 2013 Council meeting. The Structure Plan will guide development in the City Centre area into the future. The vision for the City Centre is to create a re-energised city centre with a community heart that is connected, accessible, vital and resilient.

    Public comment is open from until 5pm 29 July 2013. We are interested to hear what you think about the draft Canning City Centre Structure Plan.
